The Origin of Shiljuhn Kyeoksuldo

 

 

 

The origin of martial arts started from the human instinct of protecting oneself and

 

his neighbor from imminent danger. This origin further developed through hunting

 

and war. Martial arts is preparing and improving oneself for a victory in an

 

unexpected life-threatening fight with an enemy (human, animal,

 

unexpected accident).

 

Contemporary martial arts training is conducted very regularly and its restriction

 

into the boundary of sports are causing it to lose the particularity of killing and

 

combat instinct. Unexpected attacks and accidents in ordinary life do not approach

 

a person regularly.
